All milestones
1925 — And so the story began.
Turin, Francesco Rabotti and the beginnings of an industrial vocation.
Francesco Rabotti establishes his company in Turin. Initially producing automotive components, the business turns to workshop testing equipment: the beginning of a commitment to precision that will endure for a century.
1930s — The first Diesel test benches
Injection pump calibration becomes a field of expertise.
Rabotti begins producing benches for calibrating Diesel injection pumps. Testing of dynamos and starter motors expands to engine fuel systems, laying the foundations for the company’s future specialisation.
1940s — Joining the FIAT group
Magneti Marelli marks the start of a new industrial chapter.
Rabotti joins the FIAT group through Magneti Marelli. The Pompa G also dates from this period: the company catalogue records production from 1940 of this device for testing mechanical injectors.
1984 — New leadership, the same vocation
The Pizzale family opens a new chapter in Rabotti’s history.
The Pizzale family acquires Rabotti under Turin entrepreneur Giovanni Pizzale. The Magneti Marelli chapter closes, while test bench production continues with the company’s established focus on injection system testing.
1990s — The Common Rail breakthrough
Research with the Fiat Research Center paves the way for a new generation of test benches.
As Common Rail spreads, Rabotti works with Fiat’s Research Centre to develop experimental test benches. Laboratory experience lays the groundwork for new equipment to diagnose and repair pumps and injectors.
2000s — Electronic diagnostics enters the workshop
From EUI/EUP systems to Common Rail, new tools for specialists.
Rabotti develops its first cambox units for EUI/EUP systems and the TEC100 for Common Rail. Equipment for electronically controlled components joins traditional benches, meeting new testing and repair needs.
2009 — Tailored testing for manufacturers
From laboratory testing to end-of-line inspection for OEMs.
Rabotti develops its first end-of-line testing machines for OEMs. A dedicated division creates customised stations for manufacturers and research centres, covering prototype development through to production testing.
2014 – 16 — The TEC range opens up new possibilities
Diagnostics, coding and reconditioning for Diesel workshops.
The 2016 catalogue presents TEC101 for Common Rail pumps and injectors, TECPUMP for pumps and TEC201 Evolution for use with traditional benches. Coding and reconditioning equipment complete the workshop range.
2018 – 23 — New sectors, new challenges
From special projects to research into battery monitoring.
Special machines serve automotive, marine, aerospace and earthmoving applications. From July 2021 to January 2022, Politecnico di Torino also records a collaboration with Rabotti on experimental testing and battery monitoring techniques.
2024 — New frontiers in diagnostics
Battery research develops alongside Common Rail test benches.
With Politecnico di Torino, Rabotti develops an AI-based analyser to assess battery health. Common Rail test benches also continue to evolve, with the CRS200, CRS100 and CRM100 models.
2025 — A century of Rabotti
From the company’s founding in 1925 to new diagnostic challenges.
Rabotti marks its centenary. Its presence at Autopromotec accompanies the anniversary, showcasing testing solutions and Diesel diagnostic technologies to industry professionals, drawing on a century of experience.
2026 — From testing to reconditioning
Collaboration with Robiel expands the solutions available to workshops and laboratories.
In September 2026, Rabotti announces its collaboration with Robiel. Professional repair kits complement test benches, connecting diagnosis and testing with disassembly, assembly and repair work in Diesel workshops.
